Me

My name is Mark Johnson.  It’s a very common name, so I tend to go by either evilestmark or orionthehunter instead.

マークジョンソンです。この名前のある人数が非常に多いので、evilestmarkとorionthehunterという宛名も使います。

I am an Assistant Language Teacher in Kochi prefecture on the island of Shikoku in Japan.  I started this job in August of 2009 and have learned a lot in the past few years.

日本の四国地方の中にある高知県で外国語指導助手の仕事をしております。２００９年の八月にここに来て、数年間にたくさんのことを学びました。

I studied linguistics at The College of William and Mary.  My academic interests include language acquisition, education and policy.  I also studied Japanese for three years in university and have continued my Japanese education since coming to Japan.

ウイリアムアンドメアリー大学で言語学を専攻しました。学問的な興味では言語獲得や外国語教育や言語教育政策です。大学で三年間日本語を学んでその勉強を卒業した後でも続けて行っています。

I blog about my life, about Linux and other free and open source software (FOSS), about Japan, about fitness and cooking, and about writing.  Sometimes I’ll write about something else.  If you’ve got a specific interest, I recommend checking the categories listing, I do my best to keep things organized thematically.

日常のこと・Linuxなどの自由的なソフト・日本・健康と料理・文筆についてよくブログの記事にします。それ以外にも玉に書きます。カテゴリーのリストでそれぞれの違う内容の記事が丁寧に区別されています。頑張って分かりやすくしたいと思っています。
